To address healthcare disparities in underserved communities in South Africa and beyond. Our focus: HIV prevention, education, and sustainable health initiatives that spans across all healthcare services.
We are an American-based South African nonprofit that aims to empower local communities with tools to eradicate HIV and other endemic health issues. Every program begins with community voices.
The South African Ubuntu philosophy guides us: "I am because we are." Health solutions must be collaborative and culturally relevant.

I am a South African public health advocate and data scientist whose passion for HIV prevention stems from personal loss. At only 10 years old I lost my mother to HIV and my life has never been the same. As a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, I earned my MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois and worked across the U.S. and South Africa to drive youth-centered HIV prevention programs. My lived experience fuels Ubuntu Health Foundation’s mission to empower young people to make safer sexual health decisions.
South Africa has the world's highest HIV prevalence.
Percentage of rural communities with limited healthcare access.
Young women face twice the infection risk compared to men.
We co-design health interventions with local leaders. Solutions emerge from within communities themselves.
We offer a variety of programs to help students on their journey to high education. From job training to mental health counseling, we provide the resources and support necessary to help them achieve their goals.
Practical outreach programs bring services to marginalized people. We meet people where they are.
